Your family’s support is so important

In this her training process to become an astronaut, Alyssa’s family’s support and motivation has been very important.

His father enrolled her to the US Space Campus in 2008, when she was only seven years old. This summer camp was a unique opportunity for Alyssa, because it was where she discovered her passion for space. She has also been to other space camps in Canada and Turkey.

Her determination to become an astronaut is worthy of admiration, although her parents’ emotional and economic support have also been very important to help her make her dreams come true.

A long way in just a few years

In 2013, Alyssa became the first person to visit the 14 Visitor Centers that NASA have throughout the United States. Today she is an ambassador for the Mars One private space flight Project.
